Born in Ottawa, raised on the shores of Georgian Bay near Parry Sound, David is a veteran traveler and global citizen. He’s now based in Toronto, where he makes music by night and media by day.
David is the force behind The McFlies and co-founder & co-host of the Corktown Ukulele Jam community. He logs dozens of gigs yearly as a solo performer in addition to his many other pursuits.
Widely appreciated as a stage host, David has been the MC for numerous festivals and the Gordon Lightfoot tribute concert The Way We Feel.
David’s success as a songwriter includes Riding on the Railway, the theme song for the CTV documentary Canada’s Greatest Ride, in which David also appears and performs on a train crossing Canada. David’s canoe anthem Faster Than You Know won “Best Music” at the Waterwalker Film Festival, and ukulele favourite That’s the Miracle was featured prominently in CBC’s The Gospel According to Uke.
Helping the Canadian roots music community grow is an important aspect of David’s work. He served for 3 years on the Board of Directors of the Shelter Valley Folk Festival and is currently a Director of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals and the founder of Roots Music Canada.
As Director of Social Media at Canoe.ca, a leading Canadian web portal, David is the editor of The Canoe Dossier, a finalist for the 2009 Online Publishing Awards for “Best Blog”. He does occasional appearances as a speaker, focused on using new media to build community.

Aidan Nulman
Founder
YouPhonics |
@anulman | Facebook
Aidan Nulman founded YouPhonics with dreams of a better world — one where music is no longer a one-to-many media, but instead an open love-fest… kind of like Woodstock, but with more computers. And showers.
Born and raised in Montreal, he’s been involved in the music world in one way or another ever since he was a toddler: formerly the drummer in a high school punk rock band, Aidan was an early partner in Wetlabel (a Montreal-based ezine) from 2005-2006, and produced two musicals for a company that counts Wayne & Shuster, Donald Sutherland, and Lorne Michaels as alum.
Last but not least, Messr. Nulman wants to wish you a fine evening, wherever you may be.
